BOOK COVER DESIGN
JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER
The front cover is the most integral element of your good book. Assuming you want to sell as many copies as possible, this is your single most important element of your marketing campaign and will enhance the salability of your book. Covers are NEVER a place to cut corners when publishing your book.
Without a successful cover, it is unlikely that your book will get the attention that it deserves.
The back cover and spine are important as well. They'll give you the opportunity to summarize your book, and tell the reader as much as you can (within a small space) to ensure that they understand the content or theme of your writing.
The interior of your book is an important consideration as well. Typeface, size of typeface, leading, linespacing, margins, and layout all affect the overall reading experience of your book.

Anybody can copy and paste, right? So why would you want to spend your hard earned dollars on a graphic designer when you can just use Word and other desktop publishing software and do your own?
